I wanted something mint. It is my fact color . But i had no design in mind so  my sister sent me a few designs  and i immediately decided to be to keep this one .. I had nothing of this sort and it touched my hear. But at this point i had no combination in mind So i decide to chose at cloths shop by keeping mint against other colors and my skin Like we  ladies do.

At shops I had to choose between light peach and this wheatish color with mint. I chose this one mainly because of chevron (zigzag pattern) on it i m obsessed with chevron. and besides that it is the easier color to find patch and fridge lace to match.

For the patch i luckily found this cool one and it matched perfectly. and came in pack of two so i kept one and gave other one to my sister. The hardest part was fringe as i could not get any thing closer to any of these color. So in the end i decided to go with the beaded one.(which i would not recommend as the beads break if u step on them)

Gave the above picture to tailor explained him everything . prayed for a week and got back to him. I was happy with everything the design , the fit , the color ,  except it was too long for me as the fringe added extra length so he made it a little short which was still long for me on second attempt  my mom also trimmed the edges a little bit . but it it still long for short ME without heels.

i got so many complement on this one which mean it was a hit(y) (self pats on back)

Pink and Pearls

pink and pearls

I was scrolling through my Facebook and one more Friend of mine got engaged (usual for Facebook feed of someone in twenties). what really caught my eye was her cream colored dress with soft pearl embellishment on net. ah so perfect now i wanted that dress so badly. so i saved that picture to my iPhone obviously in the outfit album.but i m not getting married so i decided to make a simplified version of that dress which is very wearable and not "bridal"

Next  i went to a Chinese market to do some winder shopping and i found this skirt . it was soft and had pearls and it screamed TAKE ME HOME.. at that time i had an idea of what i wanted to make with it but to convert your idea into reality is the tough part.

After modifying my idea for a few days  i went back to the market to get fabric.and i did not find any thing even closer to what i wanted.so i just compromised and got this lace type fabric .because it matched my skirt.

It looked nice at that time together but it was too plan so my hunt for a patch to go over the front area began. tried a lot shops and then i found this pearl necklace and that was it. .
explained the tailor whole story and kept praying for a week.
my tailor has become wise now so he did a good job.
later to add something extra i added more pearls on the edge of the shirt .i got more pearls by breaking a bracelet :)
dupata was stolen from my mom which luckily matched
the end result was no way close the the actul ideas but i m really happy with this one and want to wear it every day.

My Outfit story

OK! so this is a new category  on the blog where i share my outfit story .

yes, each of my outfits have a 'in the making story ', i get most of my desi cloths  made for my self ,  because like any other girl i have matchyphobia (fear of a having a same outfit as yours) and the ready cloths just dont' fit right.and offcourse i like designing.

it all starts in mind . when ever i see something i really like i save in my phone in "dresses' album or if  the idea in my my i will just draw it and save it for later.

Now its cheating coz i m just replicating something is saw on intent but the truth is. it never turns out to be  same as i never find same color. or material, so the original image is just a reference for inspiration.

i wanted the chiffon in three colors of my choice.which  was almost impossible so we bought some white chiffon to be dyed , picked 3 colors of my choice from samples and gave  it to dye , next step was to find the lace and boarder cloth , which was not so hard with wide variety at shops , plus i do compromise (sometime) if i don't exactly get what i have in mind  .

the hardest part , to explain your design to your tailor, the best way is to draw it on a paper, or if u want it copied from somewhere then give that paper printed along 

then wait for a week and pray that he makes it as you imagined. 

this one tuned out perfect. so enjoy the little lookbook
